Early in her career, Vedhika began with modelling assignments and gained attention for her advertisement for biscuits alongside actor Suriya. She then landed a role in Arjun’s production, “Madrasi,” where her performance went largely unnoticed. Following this, she was supposed to star in a Hindi film, “Jai Santoshi Maa,” but it never materialized, leading her to continue her work in South Indian cinema.

Her initial ventures, like “Muni” and “Vijayadasami,” didn’t bring much recognition. In 2008, her Tamil film “Kaalai” received negative reviews, but her dance in the song “Kutti Pisase” was appreciated. Similarly, “Sakkarakatti” didn’t fare well, but Vedhika’s role was considered one of the positives.

In 2009, she appeared in the Kannada film “Sangama” opposite Ganesh, which garnered her good reviews. The same year, in “Malai Malai,” she played a minor role but contributed to the film’s commercial success. Her comeback to Telugu cinema with “Baanam” was well-received, earning her praise for her performance alongside Nara Rohit.
